Did you know that most people contribute to charitable organizations during their lifetime, but very few arrange to continue this support after their lifetime?

There is a simple way to ensure that your legacy continues. It is by making a charitable bequest in your will. This is a simple gift provision that you can include in your will (or, if you already have a will, add as a codicil to your will).

The 511 Alano Club (officially known as The Alano Society) is a non-profit charitable organization whose only sources of revenue are the voluntary contributions made by meeting participants, members and supporters. For over 75 years 511’s sole purpose has been to serve as a meeting place for all persons who seek recovery through the spiritual program of the Twelve Steps.

If you or someone you know has been helped in their recovery by 511, you can express your gratitude by adding the following language to your will:

“I hereby give to The Alano Society, a non-profit Wisconsin corporation with its office at 511 N. Carroll Street, Madison, Wisconsin 53703 and whose federal tax ID number is 39-0823472, the sum of $_________ dollars, for its charitable use and purpose.”

You can also designate your gift for a specific purpose by describing this purpose in your will or codicil.
